TuckTales — Bedtime Stories ("we", "our", or "us") is a children's bedtime-story app built to be private by design. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information. In short: TuckTales works fully offline, needs no account, and does not collect, track, or sell personal data.
1. Information we collect
We do NOT collect personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no analytics or advertising trackers. The app works offline and your child's activity stays on the device.
2. Permissions and how they're used
Microphone (optional)
- Used only if you turn on Voice Control, record a parent's "goodnight" message, or use the "My Turn to Tell" storyteller.
- Audio is processed on the device and any recording is saved only locally. Nothing is uploaded to us or anyone else.
Camera (optional)
- Used only for the book-scan feature, which reads a page into a story using on-device text recognition.
- Images are processed on the device and are not uploaded.
3. On-device AI
An optional on-device AI feature can generate stories. If you choose to download and enable it, the model runs entirely on your device. Prompts and generated stories are not sent to us or any server.
4. Subscriptions and payments
Optional subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your payment details; purchases and renewals are managed by the app stores under their own privacy policies.
5. Children's privacy
TuckTales is designed for children and families. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. There are no behavioral ads and no third-party tracking, and a parental gate protects settings and purchases.
6. Third-party services
The only third parties involved are the Apple App Store and Google Play, used solely to process optional subscriptions. The app uses no analytics, advertising, or social SDKs.
7. Data storage and security
We do not operate servers that store your data. Stories, settings, recordings, and progress are kept on your device. We do not sell or share user data with anyone.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above.
